Enhancing Efficiency at Bissa Gold Mine: SERVACO West Africa On-Site Support
Between 16 and 21st of March, the SERVACO West Africa technical team was deployed to Bissa Gold Mine, where they provided on-site support during a major shutdown. The team executed essential maintenance and installation activities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and extending equipment lifespan.
Scope of Work:
- Relining of ceramic drums
- Installation of ceramic liners at the ball mill discharge
- Installation of ceramic lining in the cyclone
Why Ceramic Lining?
Ceramic lining is a high-performance solution designed to withstand the toughest industrial conditions. By integrating ceramic inserts within rubber, this technology significantly enhances both durability and efficiency.
Key Benefits:
- Superior Grip – Maintains excellent traction even in wet, muddy, or oily environments, preventing belt slippage
- Extreme Wear Resistance – Offers a much longer service life compared to conventional rubber linings
- Enhanced Equipment Protection – Reduces wear on critical components, improving reliability and uptime
Strategic Advantage in High-Wear Areas
Installing ceramic linings at the discharge of ball mills and cyclones is particularly effective in environments where standard rubber linings fail prematurely. This ensures extended service intervals, reduced downtime, and improved operational efficiency.
At SERVACO West Africa, we remain committed to delivering durable, high-quality solutions that support our clients’ productivity in demanding mining environments.
